Associate Membership
A. Eligibility –
In addition to basic Condition & passing our CPA examination, one of the following conditions must be satisfied to become an Associate member of The ICPA -
(For all applicants who have less than 5 yrs of experience)

CA /CMA Intermediate passed or Finalist whether or not completed Articleship
-
Bachelor of Commerce Degree holder &
-
who has done LLB (must be practicing in Taxation laws)
-
who has enrolled as tax practitioner with the state or central govt.
-
who further has done Masters in Accountancy/Taxation/Finance
-
with a diploma in Taxation/ Labour Laws or Govt Diploma in Cooperation and Accountancy (GDCA Exams)
-
who has done an Accounting & Taxation Course from a reputed Vocational Training Institute
-
who has done Accounting Technician Course
-
-
CPA Certification exam passed with minimum qualification
( Note : Minimum qualification is Bachelor degree in Accounting/Taxation/Finance/Costing/Banking )
Direct membership will be offered to following individuals - (without any further examinations)

Who have completed Master of Professional Accountancy or have done CPA from ICFAI University
-
Who is empanelled as Certified Auditor / Government/Special Auditor by Any of the State/ UT Department
B. Benefits-
The following are the few benefits [after passing of exams]

He will get ICPA Membership Certificate, entitling him to use “ACPA” designatory letters after his name
-
After completion of CPA Certification & Training He will get CPA Designation [ CPA Training is must]

He will get Member ID Card
-
Professional practice guide and Member Handbook
-
40 hrs. Annual CPD Guidance for professional development
C. Obligation & Fees –
To enroll and maintain membership

He needs to pay for Entrance Fees & Membership Fees along with Certification & Training fees
-
He has to complete Course within a yr, from subsequent years he has to complete 40 hrs of CPD Training
-
Unless he progresses to full CPA membership, he will not be having any voting right in the ICPA elections
-
Unless he progresses to full CPA membership, he will not be entitled to obtain practice certificate
-
To progress further he will have to be an Associate for continuous period of Two years in good standing
